Skate shop right on the boardwalk at 401 Ocean Front Walk. Buy inline skates / rollerblades here (carries K2 and other brands) and lace up to skate the Strand right after.

Opens 10am — nudge the skate start to ~10 if you buy here. Call ahead to confirm rollerblade stock + sizes: (310) 450-6634. For the widest rollerblade selection, Intuition Skate Shop in Santa Monica is the specialist — you pass it near the pier later.

9:30 am

Roller skate the boardwalk

Rent at J's Rentals (opens 7am) or Boardwalk Skate & Surf (opens 10am) — call ahead for roller skate sizes. Skate the flat Strand path + the Skate Dance Plaza. Muscle Beach is right here.

The Strand path connects Venice all the way north to Santa Monica if you want to skate between them.

11:20 am

10-min walk inland from the boardwalk. Upgrade the stroll into a 60-min guided canoe tour with Canal Pals — paddling, canal history, and feeding the ducks. One boat fits all 3 of you. Meets at the Eastern & Linnie Canal intersection.

Book ahead — tours run weekends only (Fri–Sun) and are by-request via their online form; exact meet-up + parking come after you confirm. Prefer to keep it free? Skip the boat and just walk the canals — they're quiet and beautiful on foot too.

Pacific Park Ferris wheel, the Route 66 "end of the trail" sign, and plenty of lunch spots on and near the pier. (Nudged ~30 min later to absorb the canoe tour — still leaves a relaxed afternoon.)

3:15 pm

TCL Chinese Theatre + Walk of Fame

Celebrity handprints in the concrete forecourt, star sidewalk, classic Hollywood photo ops.

4:20 pm

Legendary record, Blu-ray, and 4K store a few blocks from TCL. Easy to lose an hour. Open till 9pm.

5:00 pm

Early dinner in Los Feliz

Walkable neighborhood right at the foot of Griffith with great restaurants. Eat now, then head up for sunset — no backtracking later.

6:45 pm

Arrive before the rush. Hollywood sign views, then the whole basin lights up after ~8pm. Free entry. Open till 10pm.

Sunset is around 8:00pm — best free city-lights view in LA.

8–9 am

Coffee near the hotel

Ease into the day after a big Saturday. Grab coffee around LA Live / Figueroa and take it slow — nothing's fixed until the 1:00 pm entry.

11:00 am

Iconic DTLA food hall — tacos, ramen, Thai, egg sandwiches. Grab something and eat before the main event.

12:30 pm

Head to the venue

Leave with a little buffer. Short ride but give yourself time to find the entrance and settle in.

Westlake block is rough — don't walk it.
